Dear Readers,
Okay, so its been a few weeks and I haven't had a chance to put pictures up from week 5 of FNR summer camp - I've been busy.
Two Saturday's ago, I drove 11 hours from the UP to West Lafayette. I then drove the last hour and a half home. I had about 15 hours to eat, do laundry, pack, sleep, and get to Bloomington for work (fighting the raging flood waters none the less) - lets just say I was 4 hours late.
I don't have my camera - I now know what drug addicts go through in withdrawl. My mother is using it on her cruise in Alaska (I made her promise to take wildlife pictures with it though - so don't worry - I'll probably have a guest columnist when she gets back.)
I've been using my friend's Canon Rebel XTi for the last few days at COPE. "Kit lens is kit" "55mm is 55mm" and "Turkey vultures happen" are all phrases I muttered during the last week - along with "Its the photographer - not the camera" so I'm making do. I hope to have some more camp pictures up soon.
One final note: I might be in school for longer than I anticipated now - but maybe not. I'm seriously looking into the IMP program at IUB. Yes that means I wouldn't be able to get a degree in forestry/wildlife management, however I feel that a custom made program in adventure photography with cognates in environmental science and business is a bit more down my alley. But like I said, I'm looking into it - nothing is for sure. with that, I wish you all a good evening, its been a long day and I for one am going to bed now.
Sincerely,
Michael
