Up a Creek

Okay so my Hard Drive on my laptop (where all of my pictures from camp were stored) completely shit out on me. I sent it in to get it fixed and of course asked for the data to be recovered and I was answered with a reassuring "sure we can try to." Alright, so I got my computer back with a new HDD in it - with no recovery disk. Also I was told that my old hard drive had been sent back to HP for salvage of parts. After an hours worth of calling between several different offices and several different automated menus, I finally got the answer of "Yup its been scrapped and there ain't nothin' you can do about it."

Well, shit.

I guess I've learned my lesson - have no less than two copies of everything on completely different drives at all times.
