Po' Man's Macro II

I know I have posted about this topic before however being at home and bored prompted me to try this out again, but this time with a new twist. With a renewed interest in making stuff for little to no cost, I headed to the garage for a quick look around and decided I could make a macro rig for the reversed-lens-macro technique.



here was the basic build process:

base board: 1/2" plywood
lens support: 4" landscape timber carved to fit the lens (somewhat...)
a couple of 1/4 x 20 thumb screws and coupling nuts

*drill a hole in plywood for tripod mount on camera (now a thumbscrew instead of tripod)
*cut a line (about 4" long) in center of base board so the lens mount can slide
*make lens mount by cutting a U shaped notch at the top and drilling a hole in the bottom for another thumb screw. insert a coupling nut into the whole (so the bolt can have something to grab)
*drill a hole in the center of the rig for the tripod - insert another coupling nut
