A Good Day; A Sad Day

I went Birding with one of my Professors this morning. It was a nice day for it too - crisp morning air, overcast sky acting as a giant softbox, birds everywhere. Birding went well. I got to class a few minutes early and did quite well on the Bird ID quiz this week. Actually, it has been a great day - until I started reviewing my pictures on my computer. Chromatic Abberrations Galore. Also the focus on the 70-300 f/4.5-5.6 is soooooo soft it hurts. Seriously W-T-F. With that in mind if anybody would like to contribute to my new "Michael needs a 500mm f/4 nikkor" fund - please feel free to do so.
